Corasoma’s vision is to be a centre for social transformation processes, based on therapeutic and social reparation activities, supported by somatic, ecological, spiritual, ancestral, contemporary and integral approaches that promote healing, non-violence, social and ecological regeneration, buen vivir, and the re-establishment of the fabric of relationships, for individual and collective benefit.
We develop processes of training, therapeutic accompaniment and social transformation. We tend to points of pain, conflict, or trauma in individuals, communities, and territories in an integral, sensitive and sustainable way.
In 2009 we acquired a farm in Barichara, in order to start a permacultural family project, from where we could offer integral, healing, deep and sustainable therapeutic processes.
Paradigmatic
’- Paradigmatic transformation is implicit in their mission to heal collective and intergenerational trauma and to bring about social transformation for the benefit of individuals and collectives. Particularly seen in their descriptions of the ‘social’ and ‘ecological’ axes of their work here: https://www.corasoma.org/about-3 (e.g. they talk about regenerating ecosystems, creating alternatives which support the re-building of relationships between humans and with natural world, and recovering ancestral wisdom).
Integrated
- Their work integrates 4 axes which they see as interconnected: therapeutic, educational, social, and ecological
Pragmatic
- Main practical offering visible on their website seems to be trainings in trauma-informed and mindfulness-informed therapeutic approaches for e.g psychotherapists, social changemakers, and other professionals in social or health work. About sharing practical skills and tools for creating well informed spaces for the healing of collective trauma, which leads to social transformation.
- They also have a place-based permacultural community where they care for land and relationships to natural environment
