GRABE-BENIN is a non-profit association founded in October 1996 by a group of citizens committed to promoting sustainable development. GRABE-BENIN’s activities respect natural ecosystems and wildlife. It is an association that acts in favour of Nature and human rights. It is also a school of citizenship, where each member can express themselves freely and take responsibility for the success of common projects.
Today, GRABE has a wealth of experience, particularly in capacity-building for indigenous and local communities on the governance of community territories and natural resources. It also has a long tradition of working with women who are custodians of traditional seed knowledge, and with farmers’ organizations.
